Different ways to program STM32Fx Cortex M microcontrollers
Organised by
Christopher Arndt
I will show different approaches to writing firmware for microcontroller boards based on the STM32F4 and STM32F1 line of Cortex M3/4 MCUs from ST and discuss their pros and cons. * STM HAL/Cube libraries * libopencm3 * stm32duino (Arduino compatible) * mbed * MicroPython (STM32F4x) I will bring my box full of various development boards with one of these MCUs and show how to do basic stuff like switching things on and off, reading potis and faders, reading sensors via I2C or SPI, and serial and USB communication. If there is interest, participants can then tinker around with these boards and try out accessing different sensors etc. under my guidance.
