| *** Alternative Arthritic Amble *** For amongst us who no longer have the mobility of youth, this is an excursion and hike which involves less walking and should be compatible with worn out joints! A short 30min car ride to the Derwent Pencil Museum (entry £6.50): https://www.derwentart.com/en-gb/c/about/company/derwent-pencil-museum On the way back, stopping at Aria Force (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/lake-district/aira-force-and-gowbarrow-park parking £6.00) for a shorter loop (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/lake-district/aira-force-and-gowbarrow-park). Attached GPX is for ~2.5km, but we can extend depending on how we feel. | |||||
